June 18, 2011 - Newport Speedway -
Newport, TN |
Prepared to make his second
debut in the Pro All Stars Series, Jordan Anderson and
his team made the trek through the mountains of
Tennessee to the high-banked 4/10th mile track known as
the Newport Speedway. Fresh off a Top 5 finish just two
weeks ago, the team was energized about the opportunity
to bring home another strong run, and their hopes were
affirmed as soon as the #19 Forest Acres Super Late
Model took to the track.
During Friday's practice
session, a total of 75 laps were used to dial in and
tune the car in preparation for Saturday's race.
Throughout the day, Anderson and the #19 were in the top
5 practice times consistently. As Saturday rolled
around, so did the rain clouds with it. As early as 1pm
on race day, both the series and track were forced to
call off the nights events and sent the race teams
packing for home.
Look for Jordan Anderson to
hit the track again July 1st at the Ace Speedway in
Altamahaw, North Carolina.
