Weekend's Race Recap
ANDERSON, SC
--
Jordan Anderson from Columbia made his first
appearance to the speedway this season and claimed
the victory in the 600 Legends Pro Regional
Qualifier race. Finishing second in the Pro race was
Kory Abbott. Wesley Thompson finished third. Andrew
Smith finished fourth. Ryan Bird finished fifth
The night started off
great with Jordan taking the heat race victory,
which would place him starting on the outside pole
for the feature. When the green flag dropped, the
#19 dropped in behind the leader but not for long.
On lap 3 Jordan took the lead from the #55 of Wesley
Thompson, and after swapping the lead numerous
times, Jordan settled into the lead on lap 6 and led
until lap 20, where Wesley Thompson in the #55 got
back by him.
Going into turn one on
the next lap contact was made and Jordan went
spinning with only 20 laps left. Thankfully Jordan
was able to control the spin and keep it out of the
wall, but he would have to restart back in 17th
place with only 20 laps left.
On the restart Jordan
was flying, making daring and bold moves to get
through the field. With four laps left, Jordan made
a pass for 3rd place, then 2nd place. Then with two
laps to go Jordan took the lead and never looked
back taking the Victory.
In Victory Lane Jordan
was very enthusiastic and showed his victory roof
climb and a gave the fans a few burnouts after his
interview.
