Jordan Anderson practicing for
Round 4 of the Summer Shootout Series at Lowe's Motor
Speedway
July 1st: Lowe's Motor
Speedway
Tuesday night at Lowe's Motor
Speedway, the driver of the #19 City of Forest Acres Legends
Car came close to snagging his second win in the Summer
Shootout Series. After starting sixth in his qualifying
race, Jordan Anderson worked his way to the front and
captured his third heat race win of the summer.
After the top six drivers were
inverted based on series points, Jordan Anderson would be
forced to start from the fourth starting position in the 26
car field of Legends Cars.
When the green flag flew over
the field of cars, the action began. Anderson settled into
the 5th spot early on and began working his way towards the
front. Using extreme patience and skill, he maneuvered his
car towards the front to put himself in a position to win.
After numerous late race
challenges Anderson brought home a well deserved 2nd place
finish in Round 4 in the Summer Shootout Series. "It feels
great to be back up here towards the front again! I've got
to first off give all the glory and praise to Jesus Christ.
I was thinking during that whole race that all things are
possible when you call on Jesus, and that kept me going
strong." Anderson said.
"After being involved in some
incidents the past two weeks this just goes to show how
great of a team I've got. The entire crew on Team NPR worked
hard and provided me with an excellent car." With his second
place finish Anderson is firmly third in points and has his
sights set on the points lead.
"I'm really proud to be able to
come out here tonight and give my sponsors a good finish.
The City of Forest Acres has been strongly behind us all
year along with Dick Dyer Toyota and Leon Jones Insurance.
Along with the support that my team has received from the
Suburban Extended Stay, Green Orthodontics, and Palmetto
Galleries It feels good to give them all a great finish."
