Jordan Anderson preparing to go
out for his feature race at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
June 10th: Lowe's Motor
Speedway
Hot off his win the previous week at
Lowe's Motor Speedway, Jordan Anderson was prepared and ready to
go for back to back wins during Round 2 of the Quaker Steak and
Lube Summer Shootout Series.
For the qualifying race, lineup was
determined through a random pill draw. Anderson drew the 6th
starting position in the first heat race. When the green flag
flew the #19 City Of Forest Acres Legends Car was off. After
making a couple of incredible passes, Jordan found himself in
the lead when the checkered flag flew. After the heat race was
over, it was determined by the speedway officials that Jordan's
scoring transponder was not on the car, and that his win in the
heat race would be revoked.
Unfortunately this would place
Jordan in the consolation race. After starting from the rear,
Jordan kept his cool and drove smart, making moves that no
one else dared to make. When it was all said and done, Jordan
was once again the winner, taking the consolation race win,
placing him in the 22nd starting spot.
For the feature race Jordan
certainly had a large obstacle to overcome, but nonetheless was
very optimistic about the race. Throughout the night, the #19
Legends Car could be seen slicing through the field making it's
way to the front. After a late race charge, Jordan Anderson was
able to bring home a 7th place finish for Round Two of the
Summer Shootout Series.
Round Three of the Summer
Shootout takes place Tuesday night, June 24th at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Gates open
at 5 p.m. with feature racing at 7:30.
