Jordan Anderson is
closing in on achieving his goal, racing in the NASCAR
Cup Series. Anderson, who is 19 and a Sophomore at
Belmont Abbey College, has been working his way through
the ranks of the racing world with a vengeance and
dedication for the past ten years. Determined is how
most would describe him, a focused competitor with a
passion, a
gentleman off the track but a force of recognition
during races.
This Forest Acres teen has what it takes
to make a mark on the racing world. Known as a polished young business
entrepreneur, Anderson has developed a business savvy that has allowed
him to strengthen his program as a whole. During the span of his racing
career he has proven not only to be a success story on the track but in the boardroom as well. Having
handled his sponsors since the age of 10, Anderson has purposed his time and energy to not only be successful on the track but to learn the 'ins' and 'outs' of promoting
partners for his racing program.
This has been a blessing for Anderson as he currently represents a very
loyal group of partners who support him wholly.
Anderson understands that the future NASCAR rookies of tomorrow have to be sellable
to the ultra competitive commercial market and Fortune 500 companies, and in
turn has worked to understand what it is that companies look for. Studying
the history of the sport has been one thing that he has begun to focus on.
Reading and learning about the drivers of old has added a better
understanding of the sport and why it has become so popular with fans.
Over the years, he has been featured in hundreds of interviews locally and nationally ranging from television, radio, and print. Anyone who spends just a few minutes with
him immediately knows that he is set apart from the masses and has the diversity and ability to excel in the sport of auto racing.
Jordan's prowess behind the wheel caught the
attention of legendary promoter H.A. Humpy Wheeler who is now his official
advisor. "Anderson is one of the best
young drivers in the country" says Wheeler.
Wheeler believes that if Jordan continues to develop, he could well join ex-Legend drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr,
Kyle Busch, and David Ragan at the Cup level.
"It's time we saw a new bright star develop from the Palmetto State and follow in the footsteps of Little Bud Moore, David Pearson, Cale Yarborough, Larry Frank and Butch Lindley". Over the years Wheeler has encouraged Anderson in areas besides racing,
directing him to attend Belmont Abbey College in Charlotte, where
Anderson is currently studying. Wheeler and Anderson have also developed
an off-track relationship, working out and boxing together on a regular
basis.
Since the age of 6 this young man has professed that he was born to race.
He is quick to say that he was blessed at a young age to find a passion
for something which he loved. This passion is evident when he speaks
about anything related to racing, whether it be about the past, present,
or future. Anderson often times quotes Henry Ford when talking about his
life and his racing career. Ford once said that
“Life is a series of experiences, each one
of which makes us bigger, even though it is hard to realize this. For
the world was built to develop character, and we must learn that the
setbacks and grief's which we endure help us in our marching onward."
Over the years Anderson has amassed
experience in a wide variety of race cars at tracks across the United
States. He has driven on over 45 different tracks to date including some
well recognized tracks such as the Charlotte Motor Speedway, Hickory Motor
Speedway, Carolina Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Orlando Motor Speedway, and
Lake Erie Speedway just to name a few. During the 2009 and 2010 seasons Anderson
made the switch
to racing on dirt in a Dirt Late Model after ten years
of racing on asphalt with the goal and learning a new driving style and
strengthening his car control. After two successful seasons with
trophies to show, Anderson will take the experience back to asphalt for
2011.
To date, Jordan is representing companies
and intervals from over 10 different states, including some sponsors that
have been with him for the last 8 years. Some of the loyal partners that
have placed their trust in such a young man are his hometown of the City of Forest Acres
in South Carolina, Dick Dyer Toyota, Green Orthodontics, Moore Orthopedic Clinic, Palmetto Galleries,
and
over 20 other independent personal sponsors that are committed to help a young man reach his goal of one day racing in NASCAR.
On a personal level, upon getting to know this young man you are taken aback at how mature he is and how purposed his life is. Anderson has a strong Christian upbringing that is combined with great personal faith in which he relies on heavily for direction.
