CONCORD, N.C. – The 2008 Lowes Motor Speedway Summer Shootout kicked off with a hyper competitive Legends Pro Division which saw Forest Acres, S.C.’s Jordan Anderson lead wire to wire for the feature win.

Anderson, ranked 18th in DSM’s newest Local Track Rankings, also took home a heat win. Steve Ross finished second followed by Prosper, Texas two-star Chris Buescher. The latter put on an impressive come-from-the-rear performance in both his heat race and in the A-Main.

Based solely on the first night of competition, Anderson and Buescher were the clear-cut stars of the show. Anderson, 17, and Buescher, 15, have multiple national Legends championships between them and appeared talented enough to be destined to graduate from the division following this summer’s Shootout appearance.

John Ellenburg, Scott Knox, Michael Van Wingerden, Mitchell Coble, Christian PaHud, Nick Carey, and Andrew Smith comprised the rest of the top ten finishing positions.
