Cultural Exposure
From the
heart of the pastor:
“Is
this you, you troubler of Israel?” (I Ki.
18:17).
Troublers address issues with the temperament that
those they address are purposed to remain
unpersuaded by the clear evidence of the gospel
because they are content to rest in the continuing
failure of the status quo, though God says, “Woe to
those who are at ease in Zion” (Am. 6:1). Troublers
are not opposed to crying out in the wilderness
because none are listening. Troublers are as an
attorney with but one Client.
Look with vital yet piercingly searching eyes at
governmental and institutional America, because
Christians in those spheres are at best blind and at
worse knowingly looking the other way from God’s
truth. The majority opinion is consistently out of
balance and out of favor with God’s word. Western
licentiousness masquerades as liberty (Jude 4).
Christians should have no patience and zero
tolerance for biblical intolerables. Modern
Christianity is as far from biblical Christianity as
the seed of the serpent is from the Seed of the
woman.
Until saints begin to touch the pupil of
Christianity, they shall continue to fail in their
pursuit of Christianizing the society God entrusts
to the godly. The holy ones of God must have a
battle in order to win a war, but then they must
engage in that battle. If Christians continue (in
Laodicean fashion) to withdraw from the conflict
between righteousness and unrighteousness, the
societal plummet from Christian ambience shall
escalate at light speed toward a damning medieval
darkness.
As sons of the Fall, Christians understand fallen
reasoning because for too long they were its
practitioners and encouragers. The arrogance of a
culture that feels rather than thinks is
contributing to cursed selfish indulgences that
affect corporate America in every aspect of its
development. The services westerners are rendering
and the products they are producing are of inferior
performance and grade because the producers have
forfeited the concepts of integrity, goodness,
rightness, honor, justness and equity. This land is
no longer able to endure the words of the Lord
because the truth of God shames this land.
Lives have become eviscerated of content because
people have become mere commodities driven by and
into economic slavery. People exist to make a living
rather than living to embrace eternal life. Their
focus upon financial benefits rather than cultural
values is resulting in a sacrifice of genuinely
living for good and instead living as dogs chasing
vehicles that they cannot catch and would not want
to catch if they knew the eternal consequences. The
time has come for you and those you love to cease
the forfeiture of the Christian legacy handed down
by the prophets, apostles and martyrs throughout the
ages.
Non-conformity is God’s way for Christians to bear
witness to God’s glory. Non-conformity is always
inconvenient because it demands indefatigable
effort. Obedience is abrasive, expensive, scorned
and yet meritorious.
Have you placed your life under the authority of
Scripture? If so, why do you continue to live as
though certain areas or arenas of your involvement
are demilitarized zones to the extent that you leave
your Christianity out of that zone of influence
because manifesting your Christianity could cause
militarized engagement? What would be the advantage
to you and the generations following you for you to
place forth the effort to develop a distinctively
Christian society?
