Jordan grabs another 4th place

Saturday's Race Recap

BRASELTON, GA -- Hot off of a 2nd place finish the night before, Jordan had high hopes going into Saturday's race at Lanier National Speedway. During practice, Jordan had to readjust himself to the track after not having raced at Lanier in quite awhile. It didn't take long for him to adjust to the track and become one of the fastest cars on the track. In only his 2nd round of practice, Jordan was already a threat for the win.

During his heat race, Jordan again proved himself a threat for the win later in the night after finishing 3rd, which would place him starting 5th for the main feature.

Before the Feature race began, Jordan prayed with his crew chief, during that prayer Jordan asked for a great race and most of all ,safety. When the green flag flew the race was on. On the first lap Jordan had worked his way into 3rd, only to have a caution come out and reset the field, putting him back into 5th place. Once again the green flag flew and the drivers were off. On lap 5 of the 25 lap race, Jordan took over 4th place and started to work on passing the 3rd place driver. On lap 18 Jordan dove to the inside of the 3rd place car, Jordan and the other driver ran side by side for 3 laps before the other driver passed Jordan back on the outside. Jordan didn't give up though and kept attempting to pass for 3rd, but with 2 laps to another driver gave Jordan a shove going into the corner and sent him back to 5th. Jordan came back the next corner, passed the driver who had shoved him out of the way, and took back over the 4th spot just in time to take the checkered flag.

Jordan was very excited with his 4th place finish on Saturday at Lanier National Speedway and is looking forward to coming back and racing at Lanier later in the year.
