Friday's Race Recap
CONCORD, NC
-- After winning last week at Concord Motorsport
Park on Sunday, Jordan Anderson was looking to go
back to back this Friday. With new tires on his
right side, and a new sponsor, Athletes For Life,
Jordan was as poised as ever to go for a victory.
The day started off great as Jordan was one of the
fastest cars in practice. After talking with his NPR
crew about how the car handled in practice, the crew
decided to make some major adjustments on his car
for the heat race, where Jordan started 3rd. On the
2nd lap of the 8 lap heat race, Jordan took over 2nd
and set his sights on the leader. Jordan seemed to
be running down the leader, but time ran out and
they took the checkers for the heat race. Jordan
would start in the 2nd position for the main race.
When the green flagged dropped on the feature race,
Jordan was off. He settled into 3rd position and got
to the bottom, and used a "crossover" move and took
over 2nd place, where he set his sights on the
leader. Both the leader and Jordan where about the
same speed and the distance between them stayed
about the same the entire race. Jordan was able to
bring his car home in one piece and in the 2nd
position.
